Motohiko Odani studied academic wooden sculpture
at the art college and he combines the traditional
wood caving technique with cutting-edge hi-tech expressions such
as computer processed video images,to explore the wide range of
artistic fields. As the process of virtual reality progresses, we
are more and more surrounded by a feeling of lost in relation to
the tangibility and existence of our everyday life.
Odani exploits such feelings to investigate a new dimension of artistic
expression.
ERECTRO exhibition shows his new works --- "Clara" , a
figure sculpture, "flowers", drawings, etc.. |
