Solo exhibition
of NISHIO Yasuyuki, Entitled "Transform", is based
on an idea of a process of the transformation, such as a caterpillar
metamorphoses into a butterfly. He presents figures of insects
that immediately after the metamorphoses, girls, and some
oil paintings.
His fingers are used to form recesses in clay and the result
is used as the die for creating three-dimensional works -
called "Negative casting". |
